Pinch run for VMart now after the passed ball. Marte takes his spot.

McCann can't get it done but he's had multiple hits in 8 of his last 12 games.

We're going to need a good game from JV tomorrow with all the arms being used today. What are the odds of that happening?

Krol gives up a lead off single.

Double 3-2 Mariners after the hop off of the stands. We needed a fan to grab that one and keep the runner at 3rd...and get ejected. Krol's day is done.

I took my left sock off.. Maybe that will get us two runs... I see IK gave up the lead lol..

Marte coming up.. come on Rook find a gap..

god we suck at home. second good start in a row we have wasted from Price..

Actually, for a major league outfielder I guess I would have thought that would go without saying.

My first day of fielding practice on my first elementary school age baseball team, the coach told to ask ourselves "what am I going to do if the ball is hit to me...?" right before every pitch - or at least every time a hitter came to the plate, or if circumstances on the base paths changed during an at bat.

He didn't tell us to prepare to make the decision on short hops in the outfield in advance; but, still, at the major league baseball, you'd think a person would be thinking all of that through.

That's different than what my coach told me. "Bob (I hated when he called me Bob), I want you to take a pitch or get hit by a pitch. Think you can do that Bob?"

That year I was hit 22 times in 12 games. That was 8th grade, stopped playing in a league at that point. The things that shape a boys mind.

DET Offense

2 GIDP

1 Caught Stealing

Man on 2nd, less than 2 outs = 0-4 2 SO 1 GIDP

For the game, Man on 2nd, less than 2 outs = 0-5.

All we needed was 1 hit and we are in the game and probably win it in 9.

1-2
2-2
----------------------
3-4

A good team would take 5 of 7 at home verses the O's and the mariners..
