I get what you're saying, and I think that character is a trait that people inevitably notice. However, the Tigers ARE a baseball team, not a non-profit org or a political party. Top Ten Greatest Tigers Players by Position
I admit, I was really disappointed by that '85 cover. They'd just won the World Series and they just had the drawing of the tiger. I expected something like the iconic photo of Gibson with his arms up in game 5, or maybe Willie and Lance embracing after the WS win--something.- 84Revisited
