Take Vmart out of cleanup
Check the baserunning column on fangraphs. Vmart cost the tigers 11.4 runs last year in value. .371= 37.1%. .343=34.3%. 2-3% difference. Basic math my friend.- durtymrclean

So it makes complete sense to take Vmart out of 4th since there will be two above average rbi hitters to replace him in JD and Jup that can go first to third on a ball hit to the wall. Thanks for clarity.- durtymrclean

Giving that bad a baserunner that many at-bats in front of our flyball/gap hitters is going to hurt the Tigers, in the long run, is all I'm saying. He'd probably be much more valuable in the 6 hole.- durtymrclean

HR's are more flukey than walks. A slower fastball means you have to work around the edges a lot more often, which he does, yet his control has been no problem so far. That is when you know is closer is prone to blowing saves and leads, when he gives up walks. Todd Jones rings a bell?- durtymrclean
