Tigers vs. rangers Game Thread May 18

you mean Miggy/Prince and Verlander has taken us to post season, Leyland didn't do shit.

Miggy has been here for the post season twice, Prince once.

Verlander was here all three times, guess he did most himself.

For all your bitching about how terrible he is, how do we keep winning?

it's not that we are doing a lot of winning, the rest of the Central has done a lot of losing.

how the **** are the indians playing this well? theyre about to win 6-0 and are about to be 17-4 in their last 21. i wish we would stop being so schizo.

Terry Francona and his coaching staff.

6+ years of Jimmy Leyland and his cast of coaching clowns (except Brookens) may very well have over-staled their welcome and might have also have greatly diminished motivational effectiveness, but we will see who wins the ALCD title by season's end, one way or the other. Talent usually wins out, but as we witnessed last season with the A's manager Melvin and the O's manager Showalter, sometimes the collective will and desire to win can defeat a supposedly better and more talented team. A team can have all the All-Star talent in the world, but if they aren't mentally motivated to use it fully, its largely wasted. The angels (on paper) probably should not be 10+ games under .500, despite their pitching deficiencies, but indeed they certainly are at this point.
