The Ultimate 2013-14 Pistons Game Thread

Josh Smith fouls out and receives a technical on top of it. Steven Adams is beasting and feasting. 105-92 with around 3 minutes left. Time to change the channel...

btw my apologies to grandy for taking over the thread. I'll try not to do it too often lol.

The first good game by Josh Smith but he fouled out. Monroe has been the best & most consistent player on the team so far this year.

Stuckey needs to start, he's been the best shooter for us. Bill ups might be done. Relegate him to backup and have KCP take bynums minutes.

Real nice games by smith, Monroe, and Jennings which is nice to see. Jennings especially, good to see him have a good game. 11 assists.

Drummond has got to figure out how to stay in the game.

So figure out how to not get into foul trouble?

Thats pretty much what I was alluding too. Granted, it can be hard when you have a player as talented as Westbrook hell bent on driving to hole and drawing fouls. Hes like Stuckey but better at everything, although stuckey has been good for us this year.

At this point though, Drummond is definitely not our best big. Monroe being traded is ludicrous right now.

Game 6 (11/11/13): Pistons @ Blazers

Late game tonight, start of a four game western road trip

Started watching the game halfway through the second. Story of this game is that all of the starters involved love to hack up shots. 75-70 Portland nearing the end of the 3rd.

End of the 3rd, 83-78 Blazers

The big four of the Pistons each have double digit points. Mo Cheeks has gone with a 3 man bench of Stuckey, Bynum and Singler thus far, not yet looking KCP, Datome or Jerebko's way. Seemingly he's trying something new with the bench rotation every game. Kyle Singler continues to not impress with 2 points and 3 boards in 19 minutes, the two points being FTs, he is 0-2 from behind the arc.

We have guys now who can create their own shot but the offense continues to operate in disaray, not helped by the lack of 3 point shooting. Still, the game is somewhat close, let's hope for a 4th Q surge

Villanueva suddenly sees his first action of the season unless I'm mistaken. Coach Cheeks must also be desperate for the 3 point shooting.

4:29 to go, Robin Lopez is an X factor in this game. He has 16/10 including 4 offensive boards, his best game of the season thus far. About to go to the line for an and 1. Time out DET. 104-92 Blazers.

107-101! Monroe, draped by LMA and Lopez finds a way to get the ball in the basket. 7-0 run with 2 to go.

4 point game after a Jennings hoop, Greg Monroe turnover under review, looks like it was indeed off LMA's leg. Pistons hopefully get the ball back about to inbound, 49 seconds left.

Lillard runs down the shot clock, drives and gets stripped. After a Pistons fast break, Jennings is fouled non shooting. TO Pistons. 21 sec left, 107-103 still.

Jennings' drive comes up empty, Lillard int. foul and goes to the line, sinks both. This one is pretty much over.

2-4 start, tough stretch of games for the Pistons. At the very least none of them have been blowouts. Looking forward to MSU UK tomorrow night!
