Tigers @ White Soxs 6-14-16 Game #64

Justin Wilson got a couple of extra days to rest a sore elbow.
Wilson did not get up in the bullpen Tuesday night after the White Sox closed the deficit to 11-8 following a two-run home run off Mark Lowe. Shane Greene and Francisco Rodriguez got up instead, even though the Tigers wanted to avoid using either pitcher, given their recent workloads.

Wilson said his elbow didn’t bother him in his most recent outing, but it was more sore than usual the next day.

Manager Brad Ausmus agreed: “The next day he said it was barking a little bit. … He actually said he was a lot better.”

JUST ANOTHER DAY FOR MIGUEL CABRERA
Cabrera had four hits in the Tigers' win over the White Sox on Tuesday, his MLB-leading 31st time doing that since he was traded to Detroit in 2008.
Miggy is behind five Hall of Famers on the Tigers' all-time list, the Elias Sports Bureau notes.
Ty Cobb - 89 four-hit games
Charlie Gehringer - 58
Harry Heilmann - 55
Sam Crawford - 41
Al Kaline - 36
Miguel Cabrera - 31
