JV drops a turd in the 1st inning giving up 2 quick runs, allowing 3 hits somehow only throwing 16 pitches. VM gets one back on the first pitch he sees.

JD leaves game after running into wall chasing a flyball. Per Jason Beck twitter possible right arm hurt. Andrew "Organic" Romine to CF, Upton moves to LF., Aviles to RF.



Meanwhile lead off triple comes around to score, 3-1 bad guys. JV not too sharp tonight. 5 hits first trip through the lineup.

Got to wonder, Is Verlander worth 28 M's. Really what could they get for there 28 million? But then again they signed Pelfrey for two years! Some how when they take a step forward the find a way of taking two steps sideways or backwards.

At the time the value was there. Tigers seem to like to extend guys early. That is the risk they take to lock them up. I don't agree with the "not paying for only the future but what they have already done" bit. It's not like these guys are making peanuts. I'd imagine his first year of arbitration is likely more than most will see in their life time.

Yea I got to check out too. 4:00 comes too early. at least we are tied. And they have come back. BTW Tigers need to take 3of 4 in order to get even with KC.
