I suspect we'll be seeing Sanchez for multiple innings tonight, Boyd doesn't have a put away pitch gets ahead of everyone then they tee off on him

Boyd can't get ML'ers out enough to continue in the rotation.
f'n horrible.

Agree it's time to send boyd back down, and I'd just rather they put Sanchez in for the next 5 innings right now tonight, can't be much worse

and until Norris has better command of his pitches he's another that will continue to throw 100 pitches in 4 plus innings.

Volquez doesn't seem to be interested in throwing many fastballs last two innings, nothing but steady diet of off speed chewing them up

Moya has seen six pitches tonight all six change ups, all six strikes, half out of the zone no contact on anything, team can just not adjust to steady diets of off speed for shit and Brad will wait till Boyd gives up 4 more before he takes him out..I'm afraid this one is already over folks..once again back to .500

Exiting

Typical ausmus, the pitcher doesn't have it, but he keeps the pitcher out there for a few more batters to pad the lead against the Tigers.

If this game ends in a loss, the Tigers will be 2-10 v the two teams they're chasing in the AL Central -- KC and CLE.

Justin Upton: Upton had a nice night with two hits, a walk, and three runs batted in.

Miguel Cabrera: Miggy had two hits and a sac fly.

Andrew Romine: The only true Tigers highlight of this game was Romine's gutsy performance.

Matt Boyd: The young Tiger was very bad tonight. He went three and two-thirds innings, giving up eight hits and seven earned runs with one strikeout.

The Bullpen: Boyd was bad, the bullpen wasn't much better.

During the past week, the Tigers bullpen has ranked dead last in the majors in ERA (10.32), WHIP (2.32) and opponents’ batting average (.388), according to ESPN Stats & Information research. Remove Greene, Wilson and Rodriguez from the equation and the picture is even more bleak (11.25 ERA, 2.50 WHIP and .419 opponents' batting average).
