Does it really matter?

MLB hitters can hit a 100 mph fastball just as easily as a 97. It's all about movement and location.

I would rather he dial it back a bit myself.

I think he pitches better when he dials it up. Especially late in the game..
 
FYI..."McCannon" has now thrown out 39.2% of stolen base attempts. But opponents have stolen 11 of 14 (21.4%) since starting the season 20 of 37 (45.9%). (Avila has thrown out 5 of the last 9 would be base stealers 55.6%)

Avila has thrown out 36.0% for the season. That would equate to 2 caught stealings in 51 attempts as the difference, or less than a 1/2 of a run.
