DETROIT -- Tyler Collins is back in center field for the Detroit Tigers, and a day off for Ian Kinsler has him at the top of the lineup.
Collins will lead off for the Detroit Tigers on Sunday as they go for the series sweep against the New York Mets.
Collins is hitting .246 with three home runs, 10 RBI and a .781 OPS this season.
Andrew Romine will play second base for Kinsler, who has started every game since June 20.

Ian Kinsler gets a rare day off, his first game out of Detroit?s starting lineup since June 19. Casey McGehee, meanwhile, is in a Major League lineup for the first time since the Marlins? season finale last October 4. McGehee bats seventh behind Justin Upton, while Tyler Collins ? making his fourth consecutive start in center in place of injured Cameron Maybin ? moves up to leadoff and Jose Iglesias slots into second.

We've hit into 2 DP's in the first 2 innings...maybe returning the favor from all the DP's the Mets hit into last night.

Man Nick is going to miss a month .damn this team has the lujury bug :(

Damn it all. To much of the plate. Hitter used all of AS pitch power on that Homer
Sadly.

Frustrating our bats can't help AD pitching Gem. Need them now.

It's too bad the offense is playing like they can't wait to get outta here instead of taking advantage of Sanchez' best start of the season and securing the sweep before a tough west coast road trip.

Mets announcers (SNY channel) just showed the Tigers winning the '84 World Series, with Ernie Harwell announcing the game. I got goosebumps.
