? Greene has a chance to make Tigers history. He has yet to allow an earned run through two starts, and no Detroit pitcher has ever gone three starts into a season without allowing an earned run. Greene pitched eight scoreless innings in Pittsburgh in his most recent outing.
? Quintana makes his second start this week, having beaten the Indians in Cleveland on Tuesday. But the left-hander will be working on regular rest with the team off on Monday and Thursday. Hector Noesi is being skipped this time through, but he is scheduled to face the Indians on Tuesday. Quintana continues to keep the opposition in the ballpark, having allowed just one homer this season over 11 innings after giving up 10 in 200 1/3 innings in 2014.
? White Sox hitters led the Major Leagues with a .375 average with runners in scoring position and two outs (9-for-24) entering Saturday. They had one double, one homer and 10 RBIs with RISP/two outs.
