Considering since the formation of the Barclays Premier League in 1992 only five different teams have won the title. With 13 games to go LC is five points clear (53). Still plenty of time to catch them.. Whats cool is Tottenham is in second (48), but evil giants Arsenal (48), and Man city(47) are in third and fourth not to far off..

Champions since 1992
Man U 13,Chelsea 4, Arsenal 3, Man City 2, and BLACKBURN ROVERS 1..

LC rise from obscurity.

Quite honestly, if Leicester wins the Prem League, it can be considered one of the greatest stories in the history of sports. They were in the Championship league two years ago (the lower division). Those teams at the bottom of the Prem league basically never compete for the title. You have the same 6-7 teams year in and year out in the EPL.

You can loosely correlate this to a team like Appy State being promoted to Div 1 and making the playoff three years later. It's that improbable.

I know I am rooting big time for them. They freaking destroyed Manchester City 3-1 last weekend on the road and it could have been 6+ goals they had that many chances. Hope they do it such a underdog story. Plus epl really needs them or the spurs to win it. It would be good for English football.

One advantage they have is they only have the 13 epl games left. Theses other top flight clubs have FA cup games, and champions League games.. almost double the amount of games. .the rest in between games really shows.

Sunday morning

LC at Arsenal 6 :00 Am.
Tottenham at Manchester city 11:00

I am also rooting for them! I must admit that it has been fun watching Man U. struggle these past few years after absolutely dominating the pitch for so many years. Rooney needs to retire.

I looked at all four of the top teams schedules they have left. I think LC with all the time off between games has a pretty manageable schedule. .. man would sure be great and great underdog story if they can pull it off.

Arsenal 2-1 over LC. Goal in the last minute completes the second half come back and pulls them within two points of the top spot.

LC gets a goal in the last minute to beat lowly Norwich city 1-0 to move five points clear.

Eight games left and LC is still 5 points clear after holding on 1-0 verses terrible Newcastle. in thier 132 year history they have never won the top flight league title.

Yeah me too. Great story that a team with their payroll compared to the other top flight clubs is in this position..
