Game 35 Tigers vs. Angels May 13, 2017

NOTEABLE:
J.D. Martinez is 11-for-26 in his career off Nolasco, but the home run Saturday was his first against him.

Martinez has only one other multi-homer game in his career. It came June 21, 2015, at the New York Yankees.

Angels second baseman Danny Espinosa snapped an 0-for-36 skid when he doubled in the sixth inning, knocking Norris out of the game.

Greene entered and got Martin Maldonado to pop out on the first pitch to end the inning.

Justin Upton gave the Tigers a 3-2 lead with a solo shot in the sixth that just made one of the first rows of seats near the left-field foul poll.

Angels star Mike Trout tied it back up in the seventh with a solo homer of his own off Tigers reliever Shane Greene.

Greene gave up the game-tying home run to Trout in the seventh, the first run he had allowed since April 25 (8 1/3 innings).

Webvideo Highlights of the Tigers Win over the angels.

Roars:
J.D. Martinez: A pair of bombs, including another late innings game winner for the much missed Tigers? slugger.

Justin Upton: J-Up launched his 8th of the year as he continues to wreck shop out of the five spot.

Justin Wilson: Before you even had a chance to stress over a one-run lead in the ninth, Wilson emptied the stadium with another dominant inning.

Hisses:
Miguel Cabrera and Nick Castellanos: Both seem in a funk in recent games and went 0 for 4 on the night with a strikeout each.

Stats and Info:
The three strikeout save was the first for the Tigers since Francisco Rodriguez managed it on June 12th of last season. He had a comfortable three run lead to work with, however.
