DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers have a new-look lineup, and not just because of the absence of Victor Martinez and Miguel Cabrera.
Manager Brad Ausmus has dropped Nicholas Castellanos from second to sixth in the batting order in order to take the spotlight off him in hopes that he'll overcome a recent slump.
"It's not related to (Martinez and Cabrera) not being available; it's just seeing if we can get Nick swinging the bat the way he was swinging earlier," Ausmus said. "If he starts swinging the bat well, I'll gladly move him back up there."
Castellanos is 7-for-46 (.152) with 13 strikeouts in his last 12 games.
Martinez is out until Monday on paternity leave. Cabrera has a strained oblique.

Miguel Cabrera said he hopes to take some swings today, thinks he could play as soon as tomorrow if he feels alright.

It's Polish American Night at Comerica Park, where the traditional Polish dances seem to be shifted toward the lines this year.

This ump dreckman blows, second pitch to Nick right down the middle called a ball, need an ump to be consistently good calling balls and strikes,
he could call that strike a ball in a bad situation with a Tigers pitcher too.

I don't even know what he's saying half the time I just look up and think wtf is he babbling about now

Yeah, and he talks low key, idk if the Parkinson's has anything to do with it.
When Gibby is in the booth, I turn the volume up a bit more.

What kinda strike three call was that drackman he called that one like it was strike 1 or 2..I think drackman forgot what the count was
