Reds @ Tigers 6-16-15 Game #65

If you are keeping count the Tigers have now hit into 77 double plays this year...after the Nick inning ending DP.

Ryan goes 6 1/3 gives up 5 hits, 4 runs, 3 solo home runs, 1 walk and 4 k's. Wilson in to pitch.

Bummer for Ryan. He pitched a pretty good game. Only takes a couple bad pitches to make it look bad.

3 solo homers is just a ok day... shame we couldn't score many runs for him..

How many games verses losing teams have we lost too? Swept by the A's at home was terrible.. Our home record compared to our payroll is awful.. We need to come back and win this game..

I don't think that is going to happen. They need 2 runs in the 8th or it is lights out.

If we don't just another awful loss at home verses a shit team and a crap hole pitcher, and we fall back to 18-18 at home..
WHICH IS AWFUL!!

We need a late inning comeback!!!

How many losses verses sub .500 teams at home do we have.. At least 5 or 6 I think maybe more...

STREAKS AND STATS:

J.D. Martinez extended his hitting streak to 10 games with a single in the sixth inning.

Yoenis Cespedes also extended his hitting streak to 10 games with an RBI single in the fifth inning.

The Tigers challenged the "out" call of Anthony Gose at home in the fifth inning. After a 3:38 review, the call on the field stood and Gose remained out, ending the fifth.

And those are just the "grounded into" doubleplays. They have hit into far more doubleplays (i.e. liners).
