First game of an upcoming 8 game road trip (Reds, Yankees, Indians). Battle of aces tonight. Tigers are 16-13 on the road. Reds are 17-13 at home. Tigers are 11-2 this season in games Price has started. Reds are 7-6 in games Cueto has started.

Price looks to become the first member of the Tigers to toss three straight complete games in 25 years…Jack Morris last did it in 1990. Price has a 0.83 ERA over his last four starts, allowing just one run with 19 strikeouts. He came within two outs of a complete game in his only start at Cincinnati on April 11, 2014, yielding one run and four hits with 10 strikeouts in a 2-1 win with the Rays.

Cueto is 2-1 with a 1.25 ERA in five starts at Great American Ball Park -- the best home ERA of any pitcher with five starts. This is Cueto's first meeting with Detroit, but he's 4-1 with a 1.20 ERA in his last six home interleague games. Cueto is 5 for 21 as a hitter this year but all 5 hits came against right handers. He’ll be batting 8th tonight.

Miggy is hitting .345 in 14 games in Cincy but this is his first visit in three years. JD and Cespedes currently have 10 game hit streaks. Cespedes has 20 hits in his last 13 games.

Price has 2 hits and 2 walks in his hitting career. His last hit came back in 2010 and he is 0 for 3 against Cueto. He has a career .121 OBP. The Tiger boasting the most career plate appearances against Cueto is reliever Tom Gorzelanny with seven.

Frazier is hitting .537 (22 of 41) with 10 RBI and 13 runs in his last 10 home games. He's batting .413 in the last 11 contests overall after hitting a pair of solo homers on Tuesday.

Current Reds players are hitting a combined .192 (10 for 52) with a .634 OPS against Price. Brandon Phillips is 3 for 8 with two doubles against Price. Joey Votto is 2 for 6 with a double and a home run against him but is not starting tonight.

Reds have hit 46 of their 77 home runs at home.

Kinsler doubles in the 1st but Miggy and Ces go down swinging. Cueto threw 23 pitches in the 1st.

Reds execute a squeeze to perfection with Suarez putting down the bunt to score Bruce.

A small part of me is happy when I can't watch Tiger games in NL parks. I absolutely hate seeing pitchers attempt to bat.

Lot of pitches thrown for Price during that 4th inning but he gives up just the 1 run on the homer.
