Tigers are now 8-2 against the Tribe this season. Tigers are 19-5 at Progressive Field over the past 3 seasons. The Indians have dropped 10 of their last 15 home games.

Price had his last outing against the Reds cut short by rain. He went 5 innings and gave up 2 runs on 73 pitches. Price?s road era is 1.92 in 8 starts this season. Price threw a 93 pitch complete game 4-0 shutout against the Indians back on June 12th. Price is 3-0 with a 2.32 era in 5 starts at Progressive Field. Lefties have hit Price better than righties (.268 to .225) this year.

Salazar also had his last outing cut short by rain. He gave up 2 earned runs in 4 2/3 innings. Salazar faced Price earlier this month and was on the losing end of the 4-0 June 12th matchup. He allowed 3 runs over 7 innings. Salazar owns a 91:19 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 73 1/3 innings this season. He is 3-0 with a 3.26 era in 5 starts at home this year.

Tiger hitters are a combined 37 for 128 (.289) with 5 home runs against Salazar. Miggy is 7 for 19. He is now hitting .649/.702/1.108 against the Tribe this season and has reached base on 27 straight games at Progressive Field. JD is 1 for 9 with 7 k?s against Salazar and Iggy is 2 for 10.

The Indians are 11-16 against lefties this year. Indians have hit a combined .251 (57 for 227) against Price. Kipnis brings a career-high 17-game hitting streak into this contest. He's batting .490 during a 26-game home hitting streak, just one game shy of the club record. Kipnis is 4 for 16 against Price.

Soria has given up a home run in 4 straight appearances and 5 of his last 6 games.

Tonight's forecast in Cleveland calls for sunny skies with temps around 74 degrees at first pitch. There's a zero percent chance for rain around 7 p.m. tonight.

Tell me those 9 and 10 ab samples aren't the reason that Iggy and JD are sitting today

Second time in recent weeks Brad Ausmus has sat J.D. Martinez vs. Danny Salazar.
Martinez is 1 for 9 with seven strikeouts against him.

Iglesias is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Indians. (Tue Jun 23)
Iggy is 2 for 10 vs. salazar.
Spin: Iglesias reached base five times over the last two games, but manager Brad Ausmus decided to give him a day off for the first time since May 27. Andrew Romine will get the start at shortstop in Iglesias' place.

Nick C. returns to 3rd base.

wtf We have here guys another Leyland? J.D. has been killing the ball. Iggy deserves a day off, and Romine will fill in nicely.

JD went 0-4 with 2 strike outs yesterday so maybe he just wants to protect him from a possible bad day against Salazar. Who knows?

But I'm not surprised some guys are getting some rest tonight. Tomorrow our game is at 12:10 pm for some reason and then we have another day game (1:10) on Thursday when we start our series against the White Sox.

After that pitcher yesterday whom worked really slow This Salazar guy works at lighting speed

I guess you have to pitch to Miggy with 2 outs and no one on....but it's still a bad idea. Single. 28 game on base streak at Progressive.

Ok let's see if a couple few days off has helped Nick Castellanos figure anything out or not with the bat

Strikes out.....this might be the game that officially sends him down to Toledo.

Well on the bright side he was thrown three of those will he chase outside pitches and managed to lay off two of them. Baby steps

That pitched he K'd on was nasty

Kipnis and Prince are tied with the AL lead with 28 multi-hit games.

Darn why do I hold my breath every time Victor makes the turn on a base?

Victors knee is looking much improved, now we just have to hope it stays that way

Not watching...VMart doubles. What had to happen for him to actually be able to make it to 2nd base?
