Tigers @ Royals 4-20-2016 Game #13

Strikes him out for the win.

But I just don't get it. That's not Mariano Rivera on the mound. You know he has his struggles. So treat him more like a 7th inning guy. If the 7th inning guy gave up 2 homers and 2 walks you'd be out there in a second.

Like pulling teeth, but A Win is a Win,
The Tigers' Closer position has some sort of curse on it. God, what was that 30 pitches?

For the only the second time in the first 13 games tigers held to less than 4 runs
fortunately 3 was enough tonight...barely

Zimmermann was good again

Iggy hotdoggy with some nice defensive plays after a boneheaded running mistake earlier in the game

K-lob is terrible it's only a matter of time before these piss poor closing jobs start costing more games

Tigers win 3-2..more than 3 will be required tomorrow to take the series

Win tomorrow and it's not a bad trip at all. I want to win every series possible against the Central!!

Like KC says a win is a win. Maybe K-Change goes on a 27 for 28 run !!!!

Dad to dream !!!

Not a bad idea, from team notes thread tonight posted by KC

Detroit Tigers Should Option Anthony Gose to Make Room for Cameron Maybin.
djc

Send goose down instead of Collins, tired of his lousy bat

STREAKS AND STATS:
Victor Martinez' fifth inning RBI single gave him 1000 for his career.

Jordan Zimmermann stretched his scoreless innings streak to 19.1 innings, tying the Tigers all-time record for scoreless innings to start a season. He's currently tied with reliever Doug Bair, who turned the trick in 1983. Stay tuned!

J.D. Martinez has now reached base in 19 straight games stretching back to September of last year.

Ian Kinsler now has 12 RBI in 12 games on the year.

Tonight marked the 390th save of Francisco Rodriguez' career, tying him with Dennis Eckersley for 6th all-time.

Given the schedule the Tigers being at even 2 games over. 500 is respectable. 4 would be exceptional.

Zimmerman was excellent, and KRod continued to suck. Glad we got the win, but it shouldn't have been a nail biter.
