Indians Vs Tigers April 24 Game 17

Like like a last place team again. The Tigers need to think about selling everyone near the trade deadline. And I mean no one should be safe.

Lets start with Cabrera, like who is going to pick up his 28 million this year and next 7 years! No one going to pick up Sanchez contract! V-Mart contract pretty untouchable. Nobody going to pick up Upton"s at this point. Pretty well stuck with those. And all of them go into next year.

O pretty sure Gose, Romine, and Aviles are on some ones hot list.

Miggy isn't attacking the ball, he's overly focused on trying to hit everything to right field

Thanks for starting the game thread today hellinfno, saw it wasn't created yet at game time but couldn't motivate myself to create it, team is sush a huge hot garbage dumpster fire and Brad is clueless

First tribe sweep in Detroit since 2008 :(
Tigers 1-5 verses division.

The only thing anyone needs to say in any post game commentary today is..well maybe collectively as a team we just aren't really that good, that would be the truth

Last 10 Games

Aviles 0-8 .000
B. Wilson 0-5 .000
A. Gose 2-24 .083

Saltalamacchia 8-28 .286
Kinsler 14-44 .318

Team has only 20 walks in the last 10 games and 87 Ks.

The projected 2-5 hitters the last 10 games:

147 AB 11 R 27 H 1 HR 9 RBI 8 BB 1 IBB 38 SO .184 BAVG .234 OBP .252 SLG .486 OPS

Where would we be without Salty?

Matt Boyd optioned back to Toledo, Tigers announce. Jose Valdez heading back up, giving Tigers another fresh arm.
Boyd could still be fill-in starter for Greene if he goes on DL. He wouldn't have to spend 10 days back in Toledo in that instance.

Cabrera PAs with RISP

2013 = 31.3% (.397 BAVG .529 OBP .782 SLG 1.311 OPS)

2014 = 25.7% (.336 BAVG .386 OBP .534 SLG .920 OPS)

2015 = 25.3% (.365 BAVG .512 OBP .635 SLG 1.147 OPS)

2016 = 25.4% (.286 BAVG .444 OBP .429 SLG .873 OPS)

Please give Miggy a little bit of time. Yes, as the rest of the team seemingly is also struggling, his struggles are magnified. But he is still just one of nine hitters.

What Miggy needs, is a batting instructor that knows all about muscle memory.He's hit the ball to right field for so long,that his muscle memory is designed to hit it to right field.I'd start out at getting him to pull every ball in BP,and then go from there.
