Henrik Zetterberg is Red Wings nominee for Masterton Trophy.
DSN

The secret of Zetterberg's "resurgence" is dumping his anchor named Justin Abdelkader.

This season Abdelkader accounts for less than 15% of Zetterberg's even strength time. Most of which was spent in the first part of the season. Per leftwinglock, sadly can't find numbers from previous season but would be closer to 50%.

Abdelkader has been weighting down the production of Zetterberg and Datsyuk since the shortened lockout season, ie. since Babcock started playing him above his skill level.

Zetterberg has been making Nyquist/Tatar/Mantha look great the second half of the season and been carrying the team offensively.
