IAN KINSLER WINS HIS FIRST GOLD GLOVE.
Kinsler becomes the first Tigers infielder to win a Gold Glove since 2009. He ranked fifth among AL second basemen in fielding percentage (.988), but second in putouts (303) and assists (432).

He's a good defender but hard to know if he won on defense alone or did he win based on his offense?
 
he was right up there with the best this year. I have a feeling that it could have been a "lifetime" award as well.

Nonetheless, I lost interest in the GG award many many years ago because it's a fraud award.. When Jeter could win 1 GG, let alone 4 - shows the award as a sham.
 
t1st Defensive Runs Saved (tied with Pedroia)

2nd in UZR/150 (Pedroia 1st) (UZR/150 is arguably a better metric than DRS)

1st in RZR (Pedroia was a close 2nd)


One could make a case for either Kinsler or Pedroia.
