Twins @ Tigers 5-17-2016 Game 39

STREAKS AND STATS:
Ian Kinsler's seventh-inning home run was his team-leading ninth of the year. Nick Castellanos has eight.

J.D. Martinez also has eight home runs after a seventh-inning solo shot.

Cameron Maybin has two stolen bases in two games, accounting for nearly 20 percent of the Tigers' stolen bases of the season (11) already.

And the post-Brad Ausmus era starts off well, with the Tigers winning 7-2 on a night where......what.....what was that? Only suspended for one game? Not fired?

Oh, never mind.

5-0 vs MIN. 11-6 vs teams below .500. 7-15 vs teams above .500.

8-1 vs MIN+OAK

The offensive and pitching numbers are remarkable against teams under.500, but especially against MIN and/or MIN+OAK.

We are "supposed" to beat teams like MIN. Let's see how well we do against good teams in the coming future.

Good win last night. Beating up on the Twinkies like we should be. Glad we finally woke up late and put some runs on the board. I almost feel bad for Pelfrey though. Dude can't buy a W to save his life.
