Ex-Tigers Pitcher and Hall of Famer Jim Bunning recovering from stroke.

My favorite Tigers Pitcher as a kid growing up in the 1950's , and was a top 3 pitcher in the AL with Whitey Ford, and Billy Pierce.
I was furious when the Tigers traded him to the phillies.
Bunning had "Alot" left in the tank. Led NL in GS, IP, K's, and Shutouts.

Retired 2nd all-time in Strikeouts to Walter Johnson's 3,507. Bunning had 2,855.

Bunning is 85 tomorrow.

You are in this lifelong Tigers fans prayers Jim.

Never trade stars like that. Too bad he's not wearing a Tigers cap in the HOF.
