Patriots trade Garoppolo to the 49'ers for 2nd RD Pick

So they took a late 2nd rounder and got an early 2nd rounder out of him 4 years later. Guess that's not that bad for the Patriots.

He put up pretty good numbers in the two games he started.

Overall I think it's not a bad trade for either side. Not sure there was a better option out there they could have gotten for a 2nd.
Although it will be interesting to see how much money he gets on his next contract.

Impossible to say.....right now the Patriots win this trade, as they're giving up a guy that never saw the field and they weren't going to be able to re-sign and getting a 2nd round pick in return. That's pretty good.

If J.G. turns out to be a really good QB.......SF wins this trade easily......because trading a 2nd rounder for a long term solution at the most important position in all of sports is a no brainer.

Only time will tell who wins this.
