Tigers vs Twins 9-13-16 game 144

Morris said it correctly , he just wants to be the " hero " instead of letting the at bat come to him . Freaking pathetic

If "everyone" can stay patient in the line up they'd still have a shot to come back and score a bunch and win this yet but that's always the problem with this offense, Miggy and victor work the count JD swings at a first pitch jam job, Collins and Aybar force him to throw strikes and walk, then salty goes up there and hacks at every fucking pitch he sees and I don't think a GD one of them were strikes! And this is a classic example of why this offesne can't get the fucking job done! Boo salty fucking horrible dude

Make the GD pitcher throw strikes you fking dipshits!

When the pitcher isn't throwing a lot strikes take a fucking pitch! Why is that such a hard concept with these dumbasses

Now we need Sanchez to get us back on track tomorrow :/

Unfortunately it just feels like this team is nowhere near putting a big winning streak togther. Man I hope I am wrong.

8-1...but a 2-1 loss is enough if the offense was in a coma.

Better wake up tomorrow, cuz their season is slipping away.

Buck Farmer: Where Boyd struggled, Farmer flourished. He struck out the first four batters faced and gave Detroit 4 1⁄3 innings of scoreless baseball. There was trouble in the eighth when he walked two and gave up a single to load the bases, but a weak grounder to first ended it.

Matt Boyd: Facing a dejected Twins lineup, Boyd didn?t have ... well, anything going for him. He finished having allowed 7 runs on 8 hits, a walk, two strikeouts, and a home run.

Tigers offense: That first-inning run notwithstanding, the offense loaded the bases and had a two-on chance in the game. They left six men on-base.

STATS AND INFO:
Matt Boyd's 7 runs are the most he's allowed since before his return to the Tigers' rotation on July 9.
In 11 games played entering Tuesday night, Boyd had given up no more than 3 runs, and 7 of those he limited to 2 runs or less for a 2.56 ERA.
This is just the fourth time in 15 starts (17 games) this season that Boyd has allowed more than three runs in a start. The last time he gave up seven in a start was on June 18 in a 16-5 loss to the Royals ? he lasted 3 2⁄3 innings on eight hits then, too. Tuesday?s start tied with that game for his worst start of the year.

Buck Farmer's 4 1⁄3 clean innings are the longest he's appeared in a game for the Tigers since Aug. 24, 2015 when he started against the Reds. He went 5 1⁄3 innings and gave up three runs in a 12-5 loss that day.
