Miguel Cabrera, 1B (21-for-42, 2 doubles, 5 HR, 2 walks, 7 K?s)
Victor Martinez, DH (10-for-32, 3 HR, 3 walks, 4 K?s)
J.D. Martinez, RF (6-for-21, double, HR, 4 K?s)
Justin Upton, LF (1-for-7, double, 4 K?s)
Erick Aybar, SS (5-for-12, 2 K?s)
James McCann, C (0-for-2, walk)
Andrew Romine, 3B (1-for-9, walk, 2 K?s)
P: Michael Fulmer

indians (career numbers vs. Fulmer)
Carlos f'n hotdog Santana, DH (2-for-5, double, walk, K)
Jason Kipnis, 2B (1-for-6, 2 K?s)
Francisco Lindor, SS (2-for-5, double, K)
Mike Napoli, 1B (2-for-6, HR)
Jose Ramirez, 3B (1-for-2, double, walk)
Coco ff Crisp, LF (1-for-4, double)
Tyler Naquin, CF (1-for-2)
Abraham Almonte, CF
Roberto Perez, C
P: Corey Kluber

Cameron Maybin returns to the lineup after a one-day break, but Jose Iglesias is out for the series opener at Cleveland. Iglesias is 1-for-9 lifetime off Indians starter Corey Kluber, but so is Andrew Romine, who gets the start at third base.
Erick Aybar, by contrast, is 5-for-12 against Kluber.
Miguel Cabrera is a .500 hitter with five home runs for his career off Kluber, but just 1-for-7 off him this year and 8-for-39 with no extra-base hits against Cleveland this year.
The Indians do not bring Yan Gomes back after a setback in his rehab. Even with Roberto Perez behind the plate, though, Cleveland sends a formidable lineup at Michael Fulmer, the only Tigers pitcher to beat the Indians so far this season.

IMO they need to take 2 of 3 in this series to keep their slim playoff hopes alive.

Nope all three required, they got some making up to do. Really disappointed in the offense on that home stand, way too much chasing by half the lineup, not making srubs throw strikes....Unacceptable

I probably won't be here to do Saturdays Game Thread for the 4 PM start time. Will one of you be able to do the thread.

The game I checked isn't on mlb extra innings, espn.
Saturdays game is on FS1 fox sports 1 and probably with those shitty announcer like a week or two ago.

I will be at the Braves game tomorrow. I probably won't be back to the hotel until late tomorrow.

Lost it...and that's the type of shit that happens when we play this team....just can't beat them.

I missed the top of the first inning with the Tigs up to bat and the indians radio announcer said that Miggy and the indians catcher had words at home plate. Anyone see or hear what that was all about?

I think we're screwed this game, that f'n ump who has thrown Miggy out 3 times, and was the same f'n ump that game he threw out Miggy, Victor, Assmus, and Joyner out all in the same game.
F'n Tim Timmons home plate ump tonight.

The septic pipes from all across the USA pour into cleveland.

Oh boy....I see the Tigers are in full meltdown mode now. Season slipping away.

meltdown.....Fulmer with a balk. 55 pitches 0 outs in the third.

Once again a Tigers pitcher doesn't have it early, but fucksticks doesn't have anyone moving around in the bullpen.

Fulmer has seemed really wild since he was taken off of the regular 5 day pitching schedule.
