Avila 1B
Romine SS

Norris P Season: 2-2, 4.43 era (1.41 whip) Never faced the Twins

TWINS (75-69):

Hicks CF

Plouffe 3B
Hunter RF
Rosario LF
Hermann C
Escobar SS

Santana P Season: 5-4, 4.73 era (1.39 whip) Lifetime against the Tigers 8-3, 3.47 era

Norris is expected to be on a strict pitch count as he makes his first start in four weeks because of a strained oblique. He hasn't pitched since experiencing pain during an Aug. 19 start when he allowed three runs over 4 1/3 innings in a 15-8 win at Wrigley Field.

Miggy is in an 0-19 slump and won’t start tonight.

If Mauer reaches base safely tonight, he would extend his streak to 36 games, tying the longest of his career set from Sept. 11, 2009 to April 18, 2010.

Castellanos scratched due to groin tightness. Day to day

Thanks. I updated it. This might be the worst line up we've ever trotted out there. We'll probably score 10 runs now tonight.

Gose CF
Kinsler 2B
JD RF
VMart DH
Collins LF
Marte 3B
McCann C
Avila 1B

Miggy has 463 plate appearances going into tonights game. Needs 39 more for the 502 to qualify.
http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/c/cabremi01.shtml 70 walks, 2 HBP, 1 Sac Fly.

I get the feeling he is hurting, one of the announcers was saying he was swinging with his arms either last night or previous game, no legs or lower body into it.

I just hope they win 73 games, 7 more so they won't lose 90 or more.

Well bogarts also had the day off, Brantley 0-4

Miggy .336
Bogarts .321
Brantley .315

Looks like the Tigers are going to end up losing this one now :-(

And the mighty miggy has struck out on three pitches all fastballs left the zone on the last one

0-20

.335

The stories tonight say Miggy's timing is off. to say the least. But I was remembering and they said it was in his Triple Crown year he had an 0 for 23.

What's weird is that he first came back off the calf injury many figured his timing would be off for a few games since there was no rehab assignment etc.. But it wasn't he was off the chain right out the gate, then after he's back for a bit and settles in then the timing goes out?

Different

Tigers take the lead in the 9th..still batting no outs still

4-3 on a two run single from Marte

Victor reaches on a throw in the dirt that mauer can't hold on to,

Moya pinch running,

Collins lines it to right Moya has big long strides to third, Collins slides into second safely, twins review it and lose,

Marte grounds it past short and maybe Collins blocked the shortstops view of it, Moya scores, Collins scores,

Tigers lead 4 - 3,

Been awhile since I checked the team offense gidp leaders

Tigers still at the top 134 before tonight....138 11 more than anyone else...but I don't think the record is at risk with only 17 more to go. :)
