Miguel Cabrera returns to the Tigers lineup after being rested for Wednesday?s game to ease the wear and tear on his lower back. Rajai Davis gets the start in left against Mike Pelfrey, whose lefty-righty splits this year are near-even on batting average but about 100 points different in OPS in favor of left-handed hitters. Over the previous few seasons, however, right-handed hitters have fared better against Pelfrey.

The 5th inning when f'n 23 year old DH Castellanos fields any easy grounder and 'underhands' the ball to Kinsler at 10 feet high where Ian had to jump high to catch it foot off the bag everybody safe, unable to get the double play, and rosario knocks in 3, along with a sac fly.

I really do not know what the problem is. But Tigers are 2nd in batting average .270. And THIRTEEN in runs scored. OBP 3rd, the numbers really do not go together.

Errors, walks and the 1-4 is 0-12 with 6 k's. Bleh. Not off to a good start for fan appreciation weekend tigers
