Alex Avila gets behind the plate in what could be his final home start as a Tiger. Same goes for Rajai Davis, who gets the start in center field as Anthony Gose gets the day off. Josh Wilson, meanwhile, makes his second start at shortstop this season.

Detroit Tigers Gameday: Randy Wolf on mound for final home game of 2015 season for Tigers.

Wolf went 1.2 and left down 6-0. MLB said wolf done today. Lets hope Tigers let some young pitcher finish out the season. I've seen enough of wolf.

Avila with just his 5th double. What kind of offer do the Tigers make to him for next season?

4th inning Miggy 1 for 1 with a walk, .337

boegarts 1 for 2 .323

It's painful seeing him swing right through 92-94 mph fastballs, at least he started to foul them off in that last bat I guess

Yeah, but it was worse seeing him with that busted up ankle. Very high threshold tolerance to pain.

Ausmus jips the fans out of one last home at bat from Miggy for 2015...boooo the fans don't want to see holiday and Marte in the final home game assmus they want to see Miggy..ya freakin dork

Throws in the towel down 6 after 7 in the final home game of 2015...man I really don't like his managing at all. Boooooooo how does he expect the players not to quit when he does?

And that's a rap Tigers lose the home finaly 7-1

6 maybe 7 more to go, what's Miggy need now to qualify 1 or 2 plate appearances?

Lions slaughter begins at 8:30 tonight

STREAKS AND STATS:

Despite the loss on Sunday, the Tigers finished with an 11-7 record against the Twins. Detroit straight up dominated the Twinkies this season, which is just as it should be. All is right with the world -- except Sunday's loss. Still wasn't pretty.

Wolf is the 14th Tigers pitcher to last less than three innings in a start this season. The Tigers are tied for second-most in baseball with 14 starts with less than three innings pitched, one behind Oakland, at 15.

Tyler Collins' three-hit day marked his fourth of the season, and his first since Sept. 3 vs. the Royals. It's his 11th multi-hit game of the year.
