Do you think Sanchez will be traded either alone or in a package deal ?

I don't think so, right now they would be selling low, since he has a sore/inflamed rotator cuff.
But who knows at this point in time....

I play MLB 15 the show and trade him in the first offseason, but the computer pulls off some trades that would never be made in real life. Sanchez has been hurt every year since we got him.

The difference in past injury years he was good. 2015, not so much.

That's where McCann comes into the conversation.. Thank you stupid rookie catcher.
It wasn't McCann's fault that Sanchez didn't execute the pitches. That's like blaming shell oil because you ran out of gas. James McCann has a bright future ahead of him.

Maybe you need to take a look at the % of HR Avila gave up compared to McCan't. His pitch framing and game calling, not good. They are important. He also can't hit against RHP or on the road. Those are important too. Btw, across the board when he's catching HR's are up with just about all pitchers. Look at some numbers.. Those are facts and are much more important than "0 errors."

I'll post from another thread, and maybe you can take a look..

Call me crazy.

Sanchez career HR rate = .81 HR/G

2015 with Avila = .86 HR/G (.54 HR/G career)

2015 with McCann = 1.72 HR/G (1.72 HR/G career)

2015 with Holaday = 2.87 HR/G (1.49 HR/G career)

As a team

2015 with Avila = 1.03 HR/G

2015 with McCann = 1.26 HR/G

2015 with Holaday = 1.41 HR/G

Pitchers with at least 7 HRs given up

Simon career = 1.14 HR/G

2015 with Avila/Holaday = .40 HR/G

2015 with McCann = 1.32 HR/G

Price Career = .81 HR/G

2015 with Avila = .38 HR/G (.49 HR/G career)

2015 with McCann = 1.01 HR/G (1.01 HR/G career)

Greene Career = 1.16 HR/G

2015 with Avila/Holaday = .74 HR/G

2015 with McCann = 1.90 HR/G

Lobstein Career = .91 HR/G

2015 with Avila = .68 HR/G

2015 with McCann = 1.24 HR/G

Verlander Career = .80 HR/G

2015 with Avila = .68 HR/G (.73 HR/G career)

2015 with McCann = .76 HR/G (.71 HR/G career)

2015 with Holaday = 4.05 HR/G (1.00 HR/G career)

Soria Career = .72 HR/G

2015 with Avila = .93 HR/G (.53 HR/G career)

2015 with McCann = 1.69 HR/G (1.69 HR/G career)

2015 with Holaday = 3.86 HR/G (4.32 HR/G career)

Avila hit 4 hr 13 rbi. He didn't deserve to be on the team. Holiday is better than him. The only reason he was there is because his dad was in the front office.

His Dad didn't want the Tigers to draft him. And you brought up the Sanchez HR's. If you want Avila gone that's fine but don't make it out that McCann is some young stud. He did much wrong.. Those stats Reb mentions aren't lies. Avila calls a very good game, makes up much over the small offensive difference.

I do like the WAR stat, but some of you hold some credence in it.

AL WAR finishes from 2014 to 2015

C = 2014 1.9 - 2015 1.7 -.2

1B = 2014 4.8 - 2015 3.8 -1.0

2B = 2014 5.2 - 2015 4.4 -.8

SS = 2014 0.4 - 2015 1.8 +1.4

3B = 2014 -0.8 - 2015 0.4 +1.2

LF = 2014 5.5 - 2015 6.0 +0.5

CF = 2014 2.9 - 2015 2.2 -0.7

RF = 2014 4.1 - 2015 5.1 +1.0

DH = 2014 4.3 - 2015 -2.0 -6.3

That doesn't mean he can't improve. He's a hard worker. Al Kaline said he(McCann) thought he had good leadership qualites.

Now if Mr. Kaline said he had good hitting skills and good game calling skills.. I'd be happy.
