Detroit Tigers 2015-2016 offseason calendar

Cespedes is making himself some money since the trade to the Mets. Killed it after the trade and is raking in the post season.

I would guess that he will get they 2nd biggest deal for a position player this offseason behind Heyward

Would like to believe we can get him back, probably not going to happen but sure hope it does somehow. Don't really want to be stuck with Collins in left. yikes.

Collins is the least of our worries. Having Castellanos, Gose and McCann is far worse. Maybe even Rajai Davis they resign him and even Brian Holaday.

While I am not in favor of signing Cespedes (because I think the money would be better spent elsewhere), he would help offensively/defensively, even if I despise his walk rate.

I'd rather have Parra and spend the rest on pitching.

For the right price I'd take Fowler just so I dont have to watch another season of Gose

Catcher is a problem though, I wonder what kind of deal Waiters will take coming off last season.

I don't see anywhere that John Jaso is a free agent catcher. He didn't catch last year. Is he coming off some sort of injury that kept him from catching? Also, it doesn't seem like he plays a lot of games. Only 99 in 2014 and only 70 last year.

Yes, he had injuries preventing him from catching in 2015. And prior to that he was always used as a platoon catcher.

Maybe he will never catch again, but he is a good Lefty bat and he can play LF. As a platoon at catcher, there is nothing to lose.

Thanks.

Probably tough to count on him to be a catcher....even in a platoon roll

Why is it tough to count on him to be a catcher? Please enlighten me.

coming off of a season where he couldn't play catcher because of injury. Plus...it doesn't look like he was even a very good defensive catcher. His career he only threw out 17% of baserunners. Enlighten me...why do you think he can be an effective catcher?

On the record here for wanting Jaso since 2010. Still do. Disturbed that some decent offensive production was wasted elsewhere for his salary.

Stolen bases are on the pitcher and only is about 10% of a catcher's game. Naive fans believe it is more, but it isn't
