Detroit Tigers setup man Bruce Rondon will need Tommy John surgery, general manager Dave Dombrowski announced this morning.

"It came up suddenly,? Dombrowski said today. ?He brought it up Monday."

Dombrowski said the Tigers will make up for Rondon?s absence with internal candidates, at least initially.

This news comes a day after the club revealed that shortstop Jose Iglesias might miss the whole season with shin injuries. The Tigers also say that they?ll fill that void internally.

So many people I know were so excited about him because of the 101 MPH fastball, but I always suspected he might be a Zumaya clone.

I'm so mixed about this team. Have a few of the best players on the planet but no depth at all. I'm trying to stay positive about the season because it hasn't even started yet but it's lookin' pretty shitty.

I read that article. What a load of crap: "We signed Chamberlain." "Coke is throwing better." "Evan Reed has thrown well for us this spring." How does he look in the mirror?

Better than what? His dead grandma? There's got to be about 25 loogeys available who could come in and throw somewhat effective strikes to a left-handed hitter once every other game. That's all they fucking need to do.

And Coke can't fucking do it.
 
This really stings. AL AL can't seem to get the ball over the plate so forget him. Poot will have to get it done.

OK I'll bite who is the set up man going to be out of this bullpen now? O I forgot they signed a new reliefer Nate au au something to do with gum. Would that be something to happen! Talk about coming full cycle. A case for the wheels coming off.
 
We need to just put the best arms we have in the bullpen. Corey Knebel for example. Melvin Mercedes. Drew Verhagen. EVERYONE of them needs to be pitching a lot for the next week in game situations. Why is it so difficult to find pitchers to pitch one inning without fucking up?!
 
That decision not to pick up Veras`s option is looking pretty dumb now
