Game 2: Royals @ Tigers Thread

Considering that wasn't a hit and run does Avila really have the green light?

Lets send our catcher :/

lol

I guess trying to catch them off guard..

Avila draws a walk on 5 pitches, first base runner of the day for the Tigers, 1 on, no out

Castellanos flies out, 1 on, 1 out

Gonzalez flies out, 1 on, 2 out

Avila gets caught stealing, 3 out

0-0 after 3

Both Scherzer and Vargas at 39 pitches

Infante strikes out swinging, 1 out

Hosmer with a line drive hit up the middle, 1 on, 1 out

Butler lines out to Cabrera who tags Hosmer for the double play, 3 out

0-0 after 3.5

Scherzer up to 48 pitches

Kinsler homers on the first pitch

Tigers go up 1-0

Was it a hit-run that went south when Avila was cut down?

Glad Kinsler got that hit/HR now before it became on monkey on his back.

Collins grounds out, 1 out

Cabrera lines out to 2nd, 2 out

Victor singles to center, 1 on, 2 out

Hunter flied out on the first pitch he sees, 3 out

Tigers up 1-0 after 4

Vargas at 54 pitches

#Tigers Kinsler often fast starter: more HR and higher career BA in April than any other month

Gordon with a broken bat leadoff single to center, 1 on

Perez K's on a pitch in the dirt, 1 on, 1 out

Moustakas flies out deep, Gordon running on contact but makes it back to 1st, 1 on, 2 out

Cain swings and misses for strike 3, 3 out

Tigers lead 1-0 after 4.5

Max up to 63 pitches

Jackson called out on strikes, 1 out

Avila goes down swinging, 2 out

Castellanos goes down swinging too, 3 out

Vargas strikes out the side, he's up to 67 pitches now

Tigers lead 1-0 after 5

Clearly Castellanos was rushed to the majors. He needs at least 5,000 PAs in Toledo to be of any use to the Tigers.

Escobar misses on the slider for strike 3, 1 out

Aoki hits a soft grounder to Kinsler who throws him out, 2 out

Infante hits one to Castellanos who throws to Cabrera for the final out

Tigers still lead 1-0 after 5.5

Scherzer's pitch count up to 76

Woo hoo!! Challenge successful! No double play!

Cabby fails to capitalize.
