He said its something he has to pitch through, its probably why he hasnt been as effective.

Well, we basically need 4 quality arms for the BP to compete for a title. I cannot believe a team with as high of a payroll as we have decided to go with Joba and Coke as the 2 setup guys.
 
It's amazing how the A's can fill out a balanced team with a 60 million $ payroll and the Tigers have a 150 million and have holes all over the place. Dombrowski is a overrated piece of shit, our bullpens have sucked every year he has been here.

There are drawbacks to that too. The A's occasionally have a nice season, but they have been terrible at times too. Plus, they can't get anywhere in the playoffs. We are bitching about not winning an ALCS/WS, and the A's rarely get past the ALDS, think we would be happier like them?

Plus is the A's suck it's no big deal nobody expected anything of them anyways, so it's all gravy when they win.

This is not to say DD has not screwed the pooch with this team though, just that Billy Beane is not jesus or anything like people make him out to be.
 
Pretty embarrassing that our farm system ranks 28th out of 30 teams in baseball..
DD was awful this off season.... Hopefully he can regroup but it really is frustrating..

Apparently Nathan doesnt consider it a big deal, doesnt consider it newsworthy (then why bring it up at all?), and hasnt even told Ausmus.

Daniel Schlereth did the same thing, kept quiet about his arm troubles, figuring he could work them out while games were on the line. His reward was Leyland and DD kicking his ass off the team.
 
After tonight game 4-9-14 Tiger's bp is a MESS. And the closer is really questionable at this point.

It was a mess before the season.

It was a mess before last season.

It has been a mess since DD took over.
