Tigers vs. rays 6-30-16 Game 79

Talk about chipping in. Every guy in the lineup either reached base or drove in a run(Moya) in that 9th inning. Total team effort

Tigers win tonight was their 7th in the last 100 years when trailing by 5+ runs entering 9th, first since 9/21/13 vs. CWS, per STATS LLC.

It was the first time since 1922 they scored eight or more runs in the ninth.

The Tigers have established a franchise record and tied the all-time major league mark by winning three consecutive games while allowing at least 14 hits in each game. The only other team to accomplish this feat over three straight regulation-length games was the Phillies in 1925.
