Without option in 2018 being picked up, Sanchez is due $21.8 Mil after this year. Otherwise it is $33.6 Mil for 2017 + 2018. The Tigers would save $11.8 Mil.

Tigers win tonight was their 7th in the last 100 years when trailing by 5+ runs entering 9th, first since 9/21/13 vs. CWS, per STATS LLC.
It was the first time since 1922 they scored eight or more runs in the ninth.
The Tigers have established a franchise record and tied the all-time major league mark by winning three consecutive games while allowing at least 14 hits in each game. The only other team to accomplish this feat over three straight regulation-length games was the Phillies in 1925.
