Tigers vs. blue jays 7-07-16 Game 86

The clevelanders have lost and the royal pains in the assers are losing in the 7th, the Jays have the bases loaded again in the 8th Alex Wilson coming in to face Tulo

That is that garbage pitch to that good of a hiiter.

Damn bullpen gags with a chance to pick up a game on the indians. One day it would be fun to have a lights out bullpen.

2-0 Count McCann who is shitty hitting.. why not take a strike ?

We just do not have a good bullpen . It can pitch good in streches but in the long run its just not very good.

What is the a Tigers recored verses over .500 teams now? It has to be bad .

Yeah probably.

Most teams' records against under .500 teams is better than their records against teams that are over .500.

Which kind of makes sense.

I shut down at about 10. Just knew the bullpen and ausmus handling of it they would screw this game up.

Justin Upton: a home run and a single tonight. Could he have finally turned the proverbial corner?

Nick Castellanos: Big dinger. And a walk.

Miguel Cabrera: 0-for-4 with four runners left on base. Even the best have bad days.

Justin Wilson: The tying and go-ahead runs scored with Alex on the mound, but giving up a single to Tulowitzki is far more forgivable than loading the bases with a one-run lead.

STATS AND INFO:
Justin Upton had his 16th multi-hit game of the season, and hit his ninth home run. Last year, his ninth (and 10th) home run came on May 17.

Nick Castellanos' home run in the fourth inning left his bat at 108 miles per hour. It was his 17th of the year, after hitting only 15 home runs in nearly 600 plate appearances last season.

James McCann broke out of a mini-slump, hitting a single and a double. He was 1-for-16 in the last five games, and this was his eighth multi-hit game of the season.

Alex Wilson allows too many inherited runners to score, But Assmus brings him in w/ bases loaded instead of fresh arm Frankie Rodriguez who last pitched a 4 out save back on June 1.
How much longer do we have to waste a season with this dumb ass as a manager?!?!

DET record against better than .500 teams:

2006 (95 Wins) = 40-40 (80) .500 WPCT

2007 (88 Wins) = 35-35 (70) .500 WPCT

2008 (74 Wins) = 41-59 (100) .410 WPCT

2009 (86 Wins) = 36-39 (75) .480 WPCT

2010 (81 Wins) = 38-45 (83) .458 WPCT

2011 (95 Wins) = 28-23 (51) .549 WPCT

2012 (88 Wins) = 40-34 (74) .541 WPCT

2013 (93 Wins) = 48-40 (88) .545 WPCT

2014 (90 Wins) = 49-39 (88) .557 WPCT

2015 (74 Wins) = 51-59 (110) .464 WPCT

2016 (45 Wins) = 23-31 (54) .426 WPCT

In the years DET DID NOT have a winning season, they did not win more than 46.4% of the time against teams .500 or better. This year's percentage is the 2nd lowest in the last 11 years. Whether it is SFG, STL, KCR or BOS, playoff teams beat bad teams, but they at least play the good teams even, if not better.

Bad Ausmiss once again manages with his lizard brain. Sparky would have brought in K-Rod in the eighth at some point. Maybe to even start the inning.

I don't care who the manager is....with the turds in the Tigers BP....no matter who you run out there the result isn't going to be good.

All the more reason to get your best pitcher in there when it matter most.

When your starter only goes 5 2/3 innings you are going to have to pitch a few relievers. You can't run your closer out there for 3 1/3 innings
