Going into tonight MLB stats. What is it guys? Hot start hitting? Lack of clutch hitting which was mentioned on the radio tonight especially for the last 10-15 games. Some of these numbers are not terrible but at first glance its doubles, Homers, and Ground into DP's that are the biggest trouble./

OBP--.340-------3rd.
SLG--.410-------10th.
OPS--.751-------7th.
Hits---302---------5th ( Guess we are a singles team now)
Runs--140-------15th.
3b------10-------2nd.
2b------57------15th. (Seems low to me).
HR-----26-------21st (Kinsler and VM where are your homers)
TB----457-------11th.
RBI---128-------17th. (Clutch Hitting) ?
K's---248--------15th.
BB---115---------4th (Yes we are 4th in MLB in walks).
IBB---15---------1st (no one hitting well after Miggy).
SB----29---------4th (1st in AL).
CS----10---------7th.
SB%-74.3-------12Th.
SH-----6---------18th.
SF-----8----------19th.

pretty sad. The biggest disappointment has to be Victor. He only has one job to do and that is hit...and he has been terrible!

He's coming off knee surgery and clearly isn't anywhere close to 100%. He ought to be sitting or at least hitting only from the right side where he can use his back leg to drive the ball. Instead, we'll just keep trotting him out there on one leg, in the same lineup position, hoping that the outcome will change one of these days. Leyland and now Ausmus are the masters of this approach, especially with veterans. It's frustrating to watch.

Brad says we don't have enough lefties to trot out there.. Fine so move him down the order at least for kricsed sakes a wounded knee in the 4 hole is an automatically rally killer. There is a time to be stubborn and a time to be honest with yourself and do what's best for the team.

whatever brad.

I think its Homers, and maybe I guess extra base hits in general.
2014
Victor Martinez 32
Kinsler 17.
----------------------
2015
Martinez 1
Kinsler 0

Glad its early still but I believe its the home Run. Our OBP is better then expected this year. We are walking more. We are just not hitting the long ball.

Victor has an injury. It doesn't dismiss it because if he can't have some type of power numbers, xtra base hits, he's not helping. But Nick is one POS right now. He's been dreadful..

In fact Nick's number are so bad vs RHP he'll soon need to be a platoon at 3rd.
