Nolasco P Season: 2-1, 9.00 era Lifetime vs. Tigers: 1-1, 4.43 era

Tonight's forecast in Detroit calls for partly cloudy skies and a temperature of 57 degrees around first pitch. There's a zero percent chance for rain at 7 p.m.

Nolasco has struggled this year with a 9.00 ERA in three starts, but has won his last two outings since coming off the disabled list. In his last start, he gave up four runs over five innings against the A's on Thursday, but still picked up the win with the offense picking up the slack.

Lobstein has been solid for the Tigers this year, posting a 3.00 ERA in five starts. His last outing was his best of the season, as he gave up just one unearned run over 7 2/3 innings against the White Sox on Thursday. Lobstein made two appearances against the Twins last year, giving up nine runs over 10 1/3 innings for a 7.84 ERA. Lobstein only has 15 strikeouts in 33 innings but his 58.3 groundball percentage is one of the highest in the AL.

The Tigers, meanwhile, have scored two or fewer earned runs in three straight game, but have outscored the Twins, 24-2, in four games in Detroit.

Tigers outfielder Anthony Gose enters Wednesday riding a five-game hitting streak after he went 2 for 4 with a double Tuesday. It marked his ninth multi-hit game this season.

Ian Kinsler is 6-for-14 and Victor Martinez is 5-for-11 against Nolasco .

Miggy has struck out 5 times in 10 at bats when facing Nolasco. He is also 3 for 24 in his last games.

Current members of the Tigers are hitting .329 (25 for 76) with an .866 OPS against Nolasco.

Kenny Vargas is 2-4 with 4 rbi?s against Lobstein.

Well "in theory" should be able to get all these back against nalasco 7+ era bum..."in theory".. We shall see

Massively pathetic offense can't even get to the worst starter in the AL right now, not giving them enough fastballs of course key to success in shutting down the tigers

Beyond belief unreal

Did JD hurt himself? I see Rajai was brought in to pinch run in the 6th after JD was 2-2.

Shake up the lineup completely:

Iggy
Cespedes
Vmart
Cabrera
Kinsler
JD
Catcher
Gose
Lead Foot

Listened on the radio man Dickerson sounded depressed.. Only heard a bit at the end be he said the Tigers are only averaging 3 runs a game for the last 11 games and are not hitting for any power witched I mentioned last night. We are in the last 3 or 4 in Homers in the AL only, and Only 21st overall in MLB. Only Minnestoa and the White Sox in the AL are lower then us in Homers.

The Team had 93 extra base hits going into tonight good for 14th in MLB. We lead MLB in GIDP with 32.. the team is in such a bad funk right now its not even funny anymore. They are just not fun to watch recently..
