About freaking time DD with Victor you dopes

But Collins wtf ? He has zero home runs and is batting .248.. Freaking call up one of our few players who maybe can make a impact...

Daniel Fields not this guy :/

I would be super excited if they called up Fields.. Collins just is not that guy maybe even Xavier Avery..
Here is the mud Hen's stats..

Collins has power...just hasn't done anything this year. My guess is it will be just for a LH bench bat with HR potential or a possible DH vs. a RH pitcher.

That's what I'm thinking. Rajai will get some more playing time. If he can find a way to get on base vs RHP he could wreak some havoc on the base paths. I'd be ok with him batting 9th vs RHP for the mean time.

"Victor Martinez will be placed on the disabled list for a stay that could extend into July, a source told Bless You Boys on Tuesday. Martinez appeared to re-aggravate his left knee Monday against the Brewers while crossing first base, the designated hitter saying after the game that he felt a "little pinch" attempting to beat out a double play."

Was it worth it?????????????? Few months instead of a few weeks. Not claiming I am a wizard, but it sure seems like a shorter DL stint before last nights game would have been smarter than waiting til he tweaks his knee. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that VM has been hobbled. I cringe and wait for his knee to explode every time I see him swing.

there is plenty of blame to go around. I put most of the blame on VMart himeslf. He is the only one who truly knows how he has been feeling.

All on Ausmus. He's the manager..of course a player will say he can play. It was rather obvious that something was wrong with Victor and playing wasn't helping..

No it wasn't worth it, sometimes as a manager you have to put aside the individual personal respect and do what's right for the team as whole, this should have been done weeks ago! stupid org mishandles another injury yet again.

And here is another thing that burns my chaps the offense is still an unmitigated disaster after the sun goes down. It's pretty much all of em, Miggy too, almost all of his hits this year have occurred before the sun goes down. All of their runs in the last two night games loses. "occurred before the sun went down" WTF are the lights too bright, not bright enough, or.. you know what I think.. I think they are not adjusting their daily routines for night games and get tired. I have no clue if I might be right but that's what my gut is telling me. I see guys yawing all the time in the 7th inning on during these night games. For day games they haven't worked out much for the day so it's mashathon. They need to figure out how to not get so tired after the sun goes down.

Don't we have a medical staff? Blaming this on Brad is nonsense. He's told who's available to play and fills out his lineup based on that. It's not his call to decide how hurt a guy is.

My blame goes to #1 Victor and #2 our medical staff.

No I'd still include brad he needs to manage and make the call based on what he clearly saw on the field. it's not up to the medical staff or victor it's untimely up to the manager. From the sounds of it he did make that call today finally. better late than never I guess.

If Victor was completely honest or our medical staff did their job, there wouldn't have been a decision for Brad to make.

My thing is that this should never have got to the point where a manager needed to make the decision.

He has been limping since he came back.. The whole organization is at fault for rushing him. Heck this whole board could see he was not right from day !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you can't blame Brad because the medical staff said he was okay to play, then how can you blame Victor? I'm sure the medical staff told him he was okay as well.

The real answer is every Tiger fan in the universe knew Victor was hurting, and likely to do more damage and Brad does not get a pass just because the medical staff was incompetent.

Article recently where Ausmus thought of putting him on the DL twice but then he'd get a hit or something. So our manager knew how hurt he was. He got talked into letting him play or he thought "he was coming out of it." But Ausmus knew and still did nothing..Brad, all. Like the medical staff didn't tell Ausmus, lol. Of course they did..
