Houston @ Detroit 5-22-2015 Game #43

Tigers 6th

JD swings at everything he sees eventually singles right to

Ceps swings at the first pitch again and grounds out to short slow roller fortunately and no DP

Nick takes the first pitch of the inning for a tigers hitter ball 1 the flys outs left on second

Davis shows bunt pulls back on a breaking ball for ball one, takes inside for ball 2, fouls on off flys out right center inning over

I don't understand why so many keep chasing after that first pitch breaking ball lay off it get yourself into a hitters count guys c'mon man..mchugh is throwing breaking ball after breaking ball after breaking ball and they keep chasing it

From Astros Gameday....Astros have scored 78 runs in the 7th inning or later...easily the most in the Majors.

Acording to Tigers Gameday...this is only the 3rd time in Simon's career he's pitched 7 innings and allowed 0 earned runs. He tied his season high of 111 pitches. Great game.

Did Iggy just push that bunt out to far to allow the force at second? Don't have access to the game here in the PNW

Tigers 7th

McCann lead off single to right

Iggy bunts back to the pitcher, mchugh goes to second for the force 1 out (failed sac bunt)
Iggy then steals second on the very next pitch (successful failed sac bunt steal, lol)

gose ground out 2b runner advances to third

Kinsler might be our most patient hitter this year takes takes take works it full, fouls off 3-2 pitch, out in front of a breaking ball hooks a shot foul, almost..almost..next pitch reaches out on a ball grounds out to first...damn

Joba coming in for the 8th

Tigers gameday.....Joba has now allowed just 1 earned run in his last 10 outings. Nice inning.

Joba did a good job in the 8th

Could really use some insurance here 3-4-5 due up

I might be the only Tiger fan that doesn't hate Avila but I'm very, very happy to see McCann coming up big this week.

Thank god we have scored since, because Nick needs to improve mightily at situational hitting
