Game 132 Detroit Tigers -v- New York Yankees 8/28/14 @ 1:05pm

Help me understand something fellas. Lobstein gives up 4 hits over 6 innings. I didn't watch the game, so I didn't see his performance. But those numbers show me he can provide some much-needed skill out of the bullpen. Why would he be sent immediately back down?

He won't start again for 5 days, they needed a reliever, enter Reed called up and Kyle Ryan called up to start a game on Saturday. Good chance Lobstein is brought back for September roster expansion.

He also got outs on very solidly hit balls.

He did everything we could have hoped for, and for that I'm thankful, but I don't see him as providing much "skill" out of the bullpen. But he will likely be back in September in some role.
