Not sure why. Anyone with a brain knows Castillo isn't close to Abreu. No one thinks he will hit like JA so I can't see why other teams would give him more based on that..

Pretty sure he didn't compare Castillo to Abreu.... Pretty sure he was comparing Castillo to Austin Jackson, which is fair at this point. He was comparing Abreu to Cabrera.... And yes Castillo is cashing in on how well the past Cubans have done after being signed.

Also the new signing rules involving bonus pools n shit, signing castillo was unrestricted because he was over 23 and had played a bunch in cuba.

You don't sign a guy for a ton of money based on the fact he's Cuban. At least you shouldn't. Especially because he doesn't show much power..
He went to the perfect team though, easy to hate him..
