AL Playoff Thread 2014

Updated

KC moves into the 2nd WC spot, they now lead NY, Seattle, and Toronto all by half a game

The AL Central is now has the tightest race in the AL with KC 2.5 back of Detroit

Updated

KC just half a game back of Detroit now

Bold prediction: we still win the central, but lose in the ALDS because the offense disappears again.

Updated

KC moves ahead of Detroit in the Central
Detroit is now the leader for the 2nd wild card team

Maybe we started this thread to soon :/

Started it last year at the same time and there were no issues.

Besides, I make/update it regardless of how shitty the Tigers are...and they're extra shitty right now.

Updated

Some fun stuff happened last night...

Detroit lost and Seattle won, which means both are tied for the 2nd wild card spot.

If the season were to end today, Seattle would host Detroit (because Seattle has the head-to-head advantage) in a one game playoff for the right to play LA in the wild card game.

And to think the Tigers had an 8 game lead in the Division. IMHO We're in a dog fight now. And not doing too good.

Our biggest problem is the schedule ...After Oakland
We really need to go 5-1 in out last six games verses them..

KC's next 22 games... Minnesota 4, Colorado 2,Texas 3, Yankees 1,Minnsota 3, Yankees 3, Minnesota 3, Cleveland 3 does not bode well for us..

Plus the schedule really favors the Royal's.. Too bad we blew al those games we should
have won :/

Tigers schedule going forward (44 games left)

Significantly Above .500/Division Leaders
6 - KC

Above .500
3 - Seattle
3 - San Francisco
1 - Pittsburgh

Around .500
3 - Tampa Bay
3 - NY Yankees
7 - Cleveland

Below .500
7 - Chicago White Sox

Significantly Below .500/Last Place
11 - Minnesota

Pretty favorable schedule, 18 games against Minnesota and Chicago...Tigers need to take care of business against the bad teams
