2017 Lineup speculation

They seem to continue to get Victor batting 2nd. I'm not sure I like him that high up. Especially because he's one slow ass dude.

I thought the reason for moving up to the 2 spot was to give him some more at bats before the WBC.

Don't know where to put this but if we talk pitching rotation I'm thinking Anibal is either going to be eating pine, or the BP. I'd personally use him as a mop up, only use him in blowouts.

Tigers cut 9, including reliever Mark Lowe.
Mlive

Veteran reliever Mark Lowe was released Sunday, one of nine cuts made by the Detroit Tigers as Opening Day approaches.
Lowe was formally placed on waivers for the purpose of giving him his unconditional release.

The Tigers also reassigned pitchers Joe Jimenez, Arcenio Leon, Ruben Alaniz, Logan Kensing and Edward Mujica; outfielder Anthony Gose; and infielder Dominic Ficociello to minor-league camp.
Catcher John Hicks was optioned to Triple-A Toledo.

Re-assigned Anthony Gose as a pitcher? Tigers will investigate.
Mlive

Tigers manager Brad Ausmus revealed during a pregame media briefing Sunday from the dugout at Joker Marchant Stadium that Gose will get a bit of a look at pitcher.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pound left-hander was a pitcher in high school who could throw in the mid-90s.

"He came back to us (after being cut) with the idea that - we had talked about internally at the end of last season - he's going to actually throw a couple of bullpens," Ausmus said.

MLB Opening Day 2017: What is your ideal Tigers starting lineup?
bybtb

with JD out;
Kinsler 2B
Jones CF
Miggy 1B
Nick 3B
Upton LF
Victor DH
Mahtook RF
McCann C
Iggy SS

JD back;
Kinsler
Nick
Miggy
JD
Upton
Victor
Jones
McCann
Iggy

I have Victor batting lower due to his turtle like running, If he can still hit, the guys in front of him have better chance to score.

JaCoby Jones named Tigers' center fielder, but he'll share job.

Tigers plan to platoon in center, right.
Detnews

JaCoby Jones and Andrew Romine working as a center-field tandem, with Mikie Mahtook and Tyler Collins splitting time in right.

I don't mind platoons but I just hope Ausmus uses them correctly.
