Alex Avila gets the day off with lefty Hector Santiago on the mound. Torii Hunter gets the day off with the day game after a night game. Rajai Davis gets the start in left, with J.D. Martinez shifting over to right.

GAME NOTES:
-- Alex Avila gets a day off today with a tough left-handed pitcher, Hector Santiago, set to start for the Angels. Bryan Holaday will start behind the plate. Avila has hit .203 with 31 strikeouts in 74 at-bats against southpaws this season.
-- Santiago has limited left-handed hitters to a .224 batting average this year, and hasn't given up a run in two games since the All-Star break.
-- Rajai Davis is back in the lineup after a two-game absence. He essentially fills the spot vacated by Torii Hunter, who gets the day off for the second time in five games. J.D. Martinez will start in right field. Davis is back in left.
-- Josh Hamilton is back in the lineup for the Angels after missing Saturday's game with soreness in his left knee. Hamilton suffered the minor injury Friday, forcing him to leave the game early.
-- With a day game after a night game, Miguel Cabrera has been tabbed today's designated hitter. Victor Martinez will start at first base.
-- Rick Porcello will take the mound today and try to become the first pitcher in the American League to win 13 games. The Tigers, meanwhile, will try to avoid losing nine of their last 10 games in Anaheim.
-- Today's forecast in Anaheim calls for partly cloudy skies with temperatures rising to near 86 degrees.

Got off to a late start and traffic is little heavier than typical for a Sunday.

Probably going to miss the first inning.

Lets go tigers, don't make it three straight offensive scrub lock downs...

Well good news they are all not out in front of everything so far today like the last two games

1-0

We're waiting for margaritas and we have to walk pretty much around the whole stadium. It's still one nothing?

Top half 3rd

Davis swings at a ball 20 ft outside for strike 1, takes strike 2, takes two low, swings at ball 3 up and pops up for out number 1

Jackson takes strike 1, outside, inside, fouls off, can of corn fly to right for out #2

Kinsler takes strike 1, takes again inside corner strike 2, again inside this time ball, fly out to right

1-2-3 and it would appear tigers offense back in shut down mode after the first now.

Excuse me now while I put this on pause and get my run in today, will un pause and see how this turned out after I get back later

wtf just happened? pickoff attempt throwing error to CF and Jackson acts like he's on acid.
