The Yankees and Tigers will open a four-game series on Monday at Comerica Park, with left-hander CC Sabathia taking the ball against right-hander Alfredo Simon.
Sabathia is looking for his first victory since April 24, 2014, as he takes on the Tigers, a club against which he has registered 19 career wins. Sabathia is coming off a loss to the Orioles in Baltimore on Tuesday, in which he allowed four runs and seven hits in seven innings.
Simon pitched a gem in his last outing, handcuffing the Pirates to two hits over eight scoreless innings in Pittsburgh on Wednesday. Simon has walked just two batters in 13 1/3 innings this season, with five strikeouts.

? Entering Sunday, the Tigers had scored just 12 runs over their past five games, but they also faced a trio of tough hurlers in Chris Sale, Jeff Samardzija and A.J. Burnett over that span. Tigers manager Brad Ausmus said that he is not concerned about the team's bats.
