I took a look through the game logs this season, mainly to see what was going right or wrong in each stretch. Most of this is probably obvious based on observation but I figured I would post it anyway. Unfortunately I haven't found a way to split starter and reliever stats within the game logs, I just went with overall pitching for now. This is all from Baseball-Reference.

I decided to split it up into 5 stretches

Good stuff... I mean damn it Tigers stop going bad in stretches....
We could sure use another 17-4 stretch :)

Interesting info. What this tells us is that winning requires an all-around effort. Our big win streaks came when our pitching and hitting were at their bests. Our big slump came when our pitching fell apart and our batters were below average.

Right now our hitting is hurting us more than our pitching, but our pitching is poor too.

It would be interesting to break the pitching down between starters and relievers...

alot of work went into this grandy. thanks.

I remember there was a site a few years back that did something similar for the Tigers .
Every inning of the 9 innings was for 18 games, and what was good and not so good.
I forget the site, Detroit, national or Baseball blog.
