Money not getting it done.

Teams that would make the playoffs today, and the Tigers.
Only ONE team is above the Tigers. Only three of the top 10 Salary teams are in the playoff hunt. FIVE are in the bottom half! And there a real drop off between 1 and 9.
1 Los Angeles Dodgers 238,841,005 Are way outta of everybody's league.

It's always been the money overcompensating for a lack of draft picks..We have to sign high priced talent because we don't have much in the young and cheap talent wise. Which is why we still have Don FUCKIN' Kelly and Phil Coke and Romine etc. And once our good talent gets a new contract we give him way too many years and dollars, cough JV cough. We need to be like Tampa a bit..Not always but at times. Or Oakland.

Someone mention the platoon system that Oakland sometimes implements successfully at times. Get a LHB and a RHB that can both go .900 OPS not players who only hit LHP only but goes full time.
