Game 122 Tigers vs. mariners August 17, 2014

JV, Max, Sanchez, Fister, Rick

or

JV, Max, Sanchez, Price, Rick

What would you rather have?

Rephrase the question though so it's not stupid. Because it's not a straight exchange.

Would you rather have a full 2014 of JV, max, Sanchez, Fister and Porcello, or 2/3 of a season of JV, Max, Sanchez, Porcello, Smyly, and 1/3 of JV, Max, Price, Sanchez, Porcello? Would be a better way to phrase it.

It's hard to say, Price is actually replacing more then just Smyly and Fister, because Max will be gone next year. Though Fister would still be here next year as well.

The lineup needs a shakeup right now, this is ridiculous. Why not try:

vs RHP:
Avila
Miggy
Nick
VMart
Hunter
JDMart
Carrera
Kinsler
Suarez

and vs LHP:
Davis
Miggy
Nick C
VMart
Hunter
JDMart
McCann (free McCann!)
Kinsler
Suarez

I have Nick so high up because his OPS since the break is close to .900 and its not like anyone else is hitting anyways. Might as well move him up for now. Kinsler can rot in the 8 hole until he stops blowing dead goats.

The problem with Avila hitting right in front of Miggy is, 1) lots of double plays with those turtles, and 2) Avila will not score from 1st on a Cabrera double, which accounts for a lot of Miggy's RBI's this year.

Could possibly fix it by swapping Miggy and Castellanos in the RHB order.

Not my fault you don't know the difference between have and had. It's pretty clear......Price or Fister?

Now to address your misguided question:

First off, It wouldn't have been a full season with Fister as he was injured and missed his first 7-8 starts. Secondly, what the hell does Max have to do with any of this? He'd be gone either way. So again it would be Price or Fister for next year?

You mention moving Nick up because his numbers since the break. Are you aware that the guy you want to be our primary leadoff has an .264 OBP since the break?

Glad I missed todays game with Robbie SnatchFace Ray.
They beat Felix yesterday with hits, grinding atbats, and today get shut out basically by another soft tossing no name with no track record.

He's had some better ABs over the last week and his OBP skills are better than others due to his walk rate. Not married to him leading off vs RHP though.

Brad should lead of EC verses RHP and Davis verses LHP ..go with it for a 10 games and see what happens...
