How fast and how many players can we sell? The Tigers have lost 6 of their last 8 games and are 10.5 games back of the 1st place Royals and still 4 games back of the last wild card spot.

The Tigers have a 6.11 era in July which is dead last in MLB.

Sanchez has won 6 of his last 7 starts (2.86 era) and the Tigers have won all 7 of those games. Sanchez and the Tigers got the 5-4 win against the Mariners on July 8th. He went 6.1 innings, gave up 5 hits, 3 earned runs, 5 walks and 6 k?s. The Tigers have given Sanchez excellent run support averaging 5.32 runs per game, which ranks 6th in MLB.

Montgomery has been great since joining the Mariners in June. The 26 year old rookie left-hander is 3-0 with a 1.69 era in 4 road starts. He gave up just 6 runs in his first 7 starts (1.62 era) in June. July hasn?t gone quite as well giving up 9 runs (4.86 era) in his 3 July starts. This will be his 1st start against the Tigers.

The Tigers have never faced Montgomery. JD has homered 14 times since June 21st.

The Mariners are hitting 18 for 80 (.225) with 4 doubles and 4 home runs against Sanchez. Seth Smith is 6 for 19 with 2 home runs. Ackley and Cruz each have homered and Trumbo is 5 for 15. Cano is 8 for 15 with 3 homers and 6 rbi?s in his last 4 games.

The forecast for Wednesday evening calls for cloudy skies and temps in the mid to upper 70?s.

I saw I surprising stat earlier today. 2 teams have grounded into 4 DP's in consecutive games...and we weren't one of them. It was the Mets and then Cleveland did it Tuesday and again today.

Nick is 10 for 20 with 4 homers and 13 rbi's against Seattle this season.

It's too bad our pitching turned out to be such an abortion this year because this offense is really hitting even without Miggy.

We sent 12 guys to the plate that inning. That seems like a season high.

i'm not convinced W,L,L,W,L,...W? still .500 ball need to get on a roll time is just about if not already up for that roll to occur.

I don't see that roll coming....we haven't won more than 3 games in a row since the 1st week of the season. The pitching isn't good enough to go on an extended roll.
